Celebrating an Amazing Year!

I can't believe how fast this year went by and how many exciting things happened during 2010.  It was a crazy year full of weddings, engagements, babies, new houses and more!  I want to thank everyone that helped and supported me throughout the year, and wish you all a Happy New Year!!

Here (FINALLY!) are the professional pictures of my wedding flowers that I have been dying to post!

All pictures were taken by Jessica Fineran Photography.

A Very Berry Wedding

This weekend while most people were hitting up door busters and early bird specials, I was putting together the flowers for a wedding in North Conway, NH. Jean and Rick got married at The White Mountain Hotel the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Jean was great to work with - she told me she liked my "cranberry" design from a prior Christmas, and just told me to run with it! I used red roses, burgundy calla lilies, white oriental lilies, and other seasonal flowers and greens to complete their designs. It was the perfect kick-off to the holiday season!!

Of course I completely forgot (again) to take pictures of the flowers set up in the room, so my home pictures that I took at 1am Friday morning will have to do for now!

Featured Vendor: Maine Wedding Photographer

If you're looking for a great photographer for your upcoming wedding in Maine, be sure to check out Michele Stapleton!  She photographed the wedding of Lindsay and Russell in Northport, ME, and took some  amazing pictures of the flowers I designed for this wedding.

You can also find her on Facebook at Maine Wedding Photographer.

Erin & Dean's Engagement Party

We had an engagement party for my sister, Erin, and her fiance, Dean, on October 16th at Red Sky in Boston, MA.  It was great to get everyone together to celebrate Erin and Dean as they begin their 1 year-to-go countdown to their wedding next October!

Because most of the decor in Red Sky is red, I kept with the red, white, and black color scheme with a few simple arrangements.  These would also be great centerpieces around the holidays!

Flowers for Dogs

After my last post I decided to attempt the floral dog collar! Stella was kind enough to model my design for me. I think I would use a thinner pink collar the next time so that the collar blends in more easily.

Isn't she cute? I was just impressed she didn't try to eat it!

Flowers for Stella

We've always wanted some wedding pictures with Stella, but I hadn't really thought about flowers for Stella... until I saw this!

How cute it this dog?!!? I don't know if Stella would actually wear the flower collar or if she would eat it before we could even snap a picture! I think it's worth a try! This picture is from the amazing wedding website: www.stylemepretty.com. Check it out for some fabulous wedding inspiration pics!

Beach Themed Shower

I can't believe it's already July - and only 1 month until my wedding! Hopefully after the wedding I will have some great flower pictures to use to kick off my new website! Since it's my favorite summer holiday weekend, I thought it would an appropriate time to share some pictures from my amazing beach-themed shower!

I can't take any credit for the beautiful table designs or any of the flower arrangements - that was all my bridesmaids! The girls used beach pails as vases, and my talented cousin, Lauren, made all the beach signs! The beaches are all beaches Mike or I (or both) have been to. There was also a fabulous Welcome sign and a Duxbury beach sign that I don't have pictures of!

Lastly, I have to give a shout out to The Icing on the Cake in Newton, MA. Not only was this cake beautiful to look at, it also tasted AMAZING! Probably my favorite cake EVER (except for Mom's of course!)!! Thank you girls for introducing me to my new favorite cake place!

Thank you again to my Bridesmaids, Mom, and Mike's Mom for 2 BEAUTIFUL showers!!
